The shop behind this page

Fernside Lock Shop Alameda is a locksmith shop on the island, working Alameda, the island and Bay Farm out of Alameda, CA. This page covers fernsidelocksmithalameda.com, the calls it produces and the job records that follow. Nobody buys leads from us and nobody sells them to us: a request made here is worked by this shop.

The one form on this site

The instant-estimate quiz is the only place that asks anything of you. It takes your name, a phone number, the part of the island or the neighbouring city you are in, an email only if you want the figure in writing, and whatever you tell it about the lock. There is no account, no newsletter box and no chat widget collecting anything in the background.

Along with that we keep the page the request came from and the campaign tag in the link, if there was one. That tells us whether a job came from search or from an ad; it is filed with the job rather than built into a profile of you.

Shared doors and building managers

Work on a shared entrance, a gate or a duplex often means we end up holding a second name — an owner, a manager, a neighbour who authorised the job. Those details are treated exactly like yours, kept with that job only, and added to no list.

What happens when you dial

(510) 439-0869 is a tracking line carried by Twilio. It rings dispatch, and the carrier logs the calling number, the time and how long we spoke; the conversation itself is forwarded straight through and is not recorded. Those logs show which pages produce real work and let us ring back a caller who was cut off.

Booking through Nexfield

The booking button leaves this site for Nexfield (nexfield.pro), the scheduler the shop runs on. Anything typed there — name, phone, street address, the slot you pick — is held by Nexfield under its own terms and comes back to us as a booked job. Prefer not to use it? The phone gets you the same appointment.

Counting visits without cookies

Traffic is counted with PostHog in cookieless mode: this site sets no cookies whatsoever, which is why nothing pops up asking you to accept any. Session replay is off and automatic click capture is off. Four events are recorded — a page opened, the phone number tapped, the booking button tapped, the quiz submitted — each with the page it happened on and nothing that identifies you.

To sit outside that, block us-assets.i.posthog.com in your browser or in any blocker you already run. Reading, dialling and booking all behave the same with it blocked. No advertising pixels and no retargeting tags run here at all.

Calls and texts after you leave a number

A number left with us is consent to be contacted about that job and nothing else: a call back with the price and the window, a text naming the technician, a message when the van is close. We run no campaigns to past customers. Your carrier's rates apply, and STOP in reply ends the texts on the spot.

Who else ends up seeing it

Only the parties needed to get a van to your door: the carrier above, Nexfield for the booking, our own dispatch, and the card processor in the technician's terminal if you pay by card. Each handles that job and nothing further.

Nothing here is sold, rented, swapped or handed to another locksmith or contractor. There is no marketing list to be added to.

How long we hold it, and how to get rid of it

Job records last while the warranty on that work is live and for as long as tax and lien rules require. Key numbers and codes tied to an address are held only while the job is open. Write to info@fernsidelocksmithalameda.com for a copy of what we hold or to have it erased.

California residents can require us to say what we collect, delete it, and confirm none of it has been sold or shared — the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. Same address, or (510) 439-0869. Asking changes nothing about the service you get.

Not a site for children

This is a service site for owners, tenants and drivers. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly take details from anyone under 13.

When this page changes

We rewrite it when something real changes — a different scheduler, a different counter, a new way of reaching you — and move the date below. Earlier versions are not archived on fernsidelocksmithalameda.com; ask and we will tell you what changed.
